EU issues consumer warning on Chinese children’s clothing

On April 7, 2017, the European Commission’s Rapid Early Warning System for Non-Food Products (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning (alert number: A12/0438/17) on Chinese-made “HANNY” brand children’s clothing. The notifying country in this case is Hungary. The product notified this time is a children’s long-sleeved top with small rhinestones glued on it. The clothes are available in white and pink. The style/model number of the product is 002. Barcode unknown. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development industry classification code (OECD Portal Category) is 67000000-Clothing.
The small rhinestones decorated on the above clothes are easy to fall off. Children may accidentally swallow it, posing a choking hazard.
At present, dealers have taken measures to delist the above products and recall them from consumers.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this. EU issues consumer warning on Chinese children’s clothing
