Liu Lumin, representative of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress: Increase the development of the sericulture industry and contribute to the national economy and people’s livelihood
On January 13, at the group meeting of the first session of the 14th Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress, Liu Lumin, deputy to the Provincial People’s Congress, said that the sericulture industry is Sichuan’s characteristic and advantageous industry, and its industrial scale ranks second in the country. In order to achieve sustained and steady development of the sericulture industry in Sichuan Province, Representative Liu Lumin suggested further increasing the development of the sericulture industry and promoting the sericulture industry to make greater contributions to the national economy and people’s livelihood. The first is to stabilize the mulberry garden area and consolidate the development of the traditional sericulture industry; the second is to accelerate the development of the new mulberry industry (mulberry leaf and mulberry fruit development); the third is to actively develop silkworm artificial feed sericulture and expand the industrial chain in an all-round way.
