Two textile industry engineers were shortlisted for the fifth “Outstanding Engineer Youth Award”
On November 4, the Outstanding Engineer Award Office of China International Science Exchange Foundation released the list of candidates for the fifth “Outstanding Engineer Award”. The fifth “Outstanding Engineer Award” selected a total of 40 candidates for the Outstanding Engineer Award and 30 candidates for the Outstanding Engineer Youth Award.
Cong Zongjie (Weihai Tuduo Fiber Co., Ltd.) and Chen Qiufei (Zhongfu ShenyingCarbon Fiber Co., Ltd.) were shortlisted for the fifth “Outstanding Engineer Youth Award” through formal review, professional field group expert review, and review committee expert review.
The “Outstanding Engineer Award” was initiated by the China International Science Exchange Foundation in 2011 and was established with the approval of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Science and Technology Awards Office. It is the first major award named after an “engineer” in the history of our country. In rewarding and commending engineering and technical personnel who have made outstanding contributions to the front line of production and construction across the country. This award has wide influence, wide coverage and high authoritativeness, and has become the leading comprehensive award in the domestic engineering industry. A total of 315 engineers won the award in the first four sessions. Currently, 24 of the previous winners of the “Outstanding Engineer Award” selected by the China International Science Exchange Foundation have been elected as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
