With supply exceeding demand, problems such as counterfeiting of virgin polyester fiber as recycled polyester fiber on the market, incomplete traceability chain of recycled polyester fiber, shoddy quality, unclear proportions, inconsistent regulatory standards and inconsistent testing methods have caused many fiber problems. Industry insiders told reporters that due to the low entry threshold for recycled polyester fiber in my country, the large number of companies, the large scale of the industry, and the fierce market competition, some companies are pursuing profits and labeling virgin fiber products as recycled polyester fiber. , passing it off as recycled polyester fiber and selling it on the market.

In January this year, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the trustworthy system of China’s recycled textile industry, the Green Fiber Products Trusted Platform (STCP), was officially launched online. The platform is jointly operated by the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association and the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center.
