Domestic cotton picking machines become mainstream

Xinjiang Swan Modern Agricultural Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., located in the Economic Development Zone of Wujiaqu City, Sixth Division, has successfully developed a six-row self-propelled baling cotton picking machine. Li Zhantao, the person in charge of the company, said that the localization rate of the entire machine is 93%, and the core components are completely localized. Each cotton picking machine can pick 500 acres of cotton per day, and the net picking rate reaches 97%.
In recent years, many companies such as Xinjiang Bo Shiran, Modern Agricultural Equipment, Swan Co., Ltd., and Railway Construction Heavy Industry have made breakthroughs in independent innovation, overcoming a number of “stuck neck” technologies in cotton pickers, including automatic control systems. We have manufactured a low-cost and high-quality domestic high-end cotton picking machine, which has won the recognition of the market and cotton farmers.
This year, domestic cotton pickers account for more than 80% of the Xinjiang market, becoming the absolute main force in picking Xinjiang cotton. In particular, the unmanned cotton picking machine equipped with the Beidou navigation system not only saves labor but also improves the net picking rate.
The cotton harvest is basically over, and cotton planting workers are seizing the time to sell new cotton. At present, more than 200 cotton processing factories in the Corps are opening scales for purchase, cotton inspectors and cotton quality inspectors are all in place, and cotton sales are proceeding steadily.
At the Tamen Town Branch of Lihua Cotton Industry in Alar City, the Eighth Regiment of the First Division, vehicles loaded with new cotton are queuing up in order to be weighed. “This year we expect to process 13,000 tons of lint cotton and purchase 35,000 tons of seed cotton. So far, we have completed the purchase of 30,000 tons.
