“I have developed 120 acres of sericulture. Last year I raised 5 batches of silkworms and earned about 180,000 yuan.” said Wang Chaobo, a major sericulture farmer in Daxing Village.
Up to now, 587 households have been mobilized to develop sericulture, and 33,000 acres of mulberry gardens have been put into production in the county, with an annual output of 297,500 kilograms of cocoons.
Extend the industrial chain to improve industrial efficiency

At present, the company has successfully cultivated into an enterprise above designated size, providing employment for more than 200 people, with a total industrial output value of more than 20 million yuan.
Open up the market chain and effectively solve financing difficulties
The Zhuhai working group in Zunyi aimed at the huge consumer market in the Greater Bay Area, coordinated resources from all parties, and innovated cooperation methods. It successfully introduced Zhengling Group, a state-owned enterprise in Xiangzhou District, and injected 5 million yuan in capital to cooperate with Zunyi Star Silk Road Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Since Zunyi Star Silk Road Biotechnology Co., Ltd. officially started production in September 2022, it has sold more than 8,000 silk quilts, with sales of nearly 12 million yuan.
Today, the sericulture industry has become one of the three pillar industries of agriculture in Fenggang County. Fenggang County currently has an area of 50,000 acres of mulberry gardens. It is expected that the number of silkworms raised this year will reach 36,500, with an output of 1,200 tons and an output value of 60 million yuan. There are more than 780 professional sericulture farmers. The average income of each sericulture household has increased by more than 50,000 yuan.
