The United States issues a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas
On June 1, 2017, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) and KreativeKidsInc. jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s nightgowns.
The recalled product is a children’s nightgown with a hood, long sleeves, a belt and two pockets on the front. The robe fabric is 100% polyester and comes in 8 styles. Available in sizes 4-6 and 7-9, purple elephant, lion, pink bear, ladybug, blue puppy, duck, monkey and cat princess. The garment’s sewn-in label bears the product number “2013NW081” and the words “KreativeKids.”
The recalled products were sold in gift shops and specialty stores in California, Iowa, New York, Ohio, and Texas from September 2013 to April 2017, as well as www.Amazon. About 7,600 pieces were sold in the .com online store. The unit price is about US$15-17. The reason for the recall is that the above-mentioned nightgowns do not meet the requirements of flammability standards for children’s nightgowns, posing a risk of burns to children. To date, there have been no reports of accidents or personal injuries related to the use of this product.
The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends that consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact the company for a full refund. The United States issues a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas
