The State Administration for Market Regulation recently released the latest results of national supervision and spot inspections of children’s shoes. 242 batches of products were randomly inspected from 14 provinces and cities including Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Fujian. The test found that the unqualified rate exceeded 20%.

According to reports, the children’s shoes inspected by the state refer to footwear products for daily wear by children 14 years old and below, including infant shoes aged 0 to 3 years old and children’s shoes aged 3 to 14 years old.

Among them, children’s travel shoes had the largest number of random inspections. A total of 149 batches were randomly inspected, and 30 batches were found to be unqualified. The unqualified rate was 20.1%, which was 1% lower than the average.
The State Administration for Market Regulation entrusted two institutions, Guangzhou Inspection, Testing and Certification Group Co., Ltd. and CTI Testing and Certification Group Co., Ltd., to conduct joint inspections on the chemical and physical safety of 242 batches of children’s shoe samples.
