Canada implements recall of Chinese-made girls’ sun protection clothing
On September 15, 2021, Health Canada announced a recall of Chinese-made girls’ sun protection clothing.
The recalled product is TAG girls’ sun protection clothing. The product models are TVG1011ATC and TGV7011ATC. They have a zipper on the back and snap buttons on the inseam. They are made of 83% nylon and 17% spandex. TVG1011ATC is suitable for sizes 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 24 months; TGV7011ATC is suitable for sizes 2 and 3 years old.
The product’s snaps may fall off, posing a choking hazard to children.
The products recalled were sold in Canada from October 2019 to August 2021, with approximately 2,104 units sold.
As of August 16, 2021, we have received 10 reports of buttons falling off and no reports of suffocation.
Health Canada recommends that you stop using this product immediately and return it to Aubainerie for a refund.
