I thought that the chemical fiber raw material market would gradually turn sluggish in June.
The salesperson selling raw materials will look like this↓↓
Unexpectedly, this year’s market was not content with being “bland”
Some specifications of raw materials are even sold “crazy”
The continued hot sales situation still leads to “hard to find the same product”!
Nylon market: 50D semi-gloss monofilament, you have to queue up to get cash!
Since March this year, the entire nylon industry chain has been plummeting as if it were cursed. The magnitude and duration of the decline can be said to be unprecedented. For example, nylon high-speed spinning chips fell from 21,300 yuan/ton in early March to 12,700 yuan/ton, a drop of nearly 40.3%, and nylon yarn FDY also dropped by 32.8%!
But since mid-May, the nylon market has finally gradually picked up! Of course, this rebound is mainly due to the support of the upstream raw material caprolactam. Since the seven caprolactam manufacturers have maintenance plans starting from May and June, the market supply will be significantly reduced. The tightness in obtaining goods has also stimulated the nervousness in the downstream. In addition, after several consecutive months of decline in the early stage, each manufacturer has the intention to turn around losses. Very strong.
In addition to the price rebounding, there are also many bright spots in the recent sales of nylon yarn. Among them, a niche product – 50D semi-gloss monofilament continues to be popular! It is reported that downstream fabric manufacturers have to queue up even if they want to get goods in cash!
Some monofilament factories said that although they have maintained a certain amount of supply to old customers, due to the low monofilament output, it is difficult to meet the large demand from customers. Generally, new orders have to be queued for at least 20 days to a month. In addition to the original out-of-town tourists from Guangdong and Shaoxing, now customers from Wuhan, Xi’an and other regions are also coming to silk factories to seek goods, and demand continues to heat up.
Polyester filament market: FDY multiple specifications are in tight supply!
According to monitoring data from China Silk City Network, the polyester market as a whole has shown a strong sales trend since May. The average monthly production and sales of polyester filament are around 100%-110%. Among them, the demand for the FDY series has performed well. Several mainstream manufacturers have performed well every month. The domestic average production and sales can reach around 120%, and the company is in a state of smooth destocking.
Of course, this is mainly due to the good performance of the downstream weaving market this year. At this time in previous years, the off-season atmosphere may have been stronger, but currently there has been no significant decline in the start-up of various cluster markets.
For example, circular knitting polar fleece and knitted products in Shaoxing are relatively fast-selling, and Haining’s non-falling fleece business is doing well, which makes some raw material manufacturers’ 50D and 55D glossy supplies tight; Wujiang’s water-jet Oxford cloth, polyester taffeta, simulated silk and other products With continued hot sales, weaving manufacturers withdraw funds quickly and are naturally more enthusiastic about purchasing raw materials, which has driven the shipment of raw materials with specifications such as semi-gloss FDY75D/72F. Some chemical fiber factories have even experienced tight supply of FDY specifications.
Editor’s comment: On the whole, the current raw material market is relatively resilient under the support of downstream demand. Whether it is nylon yarn or polyester filament yarn, the sales highlights of some specifications have increased the confidence of industry insiders in the market outlook.
However, according to the rules, the market will enter the off-season sooner or later, and there is no need to catch the “off-season is not slow” and overestimate the market in the later period. Focus on sales during the peak season and practice internal skills during the off-season. Whether you are a raw material supplier or a downstream purchaser, relaxing is the way to do business!
