Introduction: The planned maintenance capacity of global ethylene glycol in 2017 involved 10.24 million tons; among them, the maintenance of equipment in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the Middle East, and the United States, which export more to the Chinese market, is more concentrated, and from a time perspective, the maintenance is mostly concentrated in 1 quarter and the fourth quarter; affected by intensive maintenance, the overall total import volume in the first quarter is expected to remain stable with a downward trend. The scope of maintenance of domestic petrochemical plants is relatively small. Currently, only the East China plant has a maintenance plan, involving a production capacity of 865,000 tons and an output of about 70,000 tons.
