Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of winners of the 2022 China Excellent Industrial Design Award. The “Digital Biological Vision Costume Design” submitted by Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology won the bronze medal of the 2022 China Excellent Industrial Design Award. This is the first time in the 10 years since the establishment of the China Excellent Industrial Design Award that a textile and clothing university in my country has won this honor. “Digital biological visual illusion clothing design” is a new material developed using design methods to imitate and learn the color-changing principle of biological colors.
