Uzbekistan-China trade volume: US$100 million
Uzbekistan’s “Details” website reported on January 22 that according to data released by the National Statistical Committee of Uzbekistan, the trade volume between Uzbekistan and China in 2018 was approximately US$6.428 billion, a year-on-year increase of 35.2%, accounting for 19% of Uzbekistan’s total foreign trade. China Continue to maintain the status of Uzbekistan’s largest trading partner. Among them, China’s imports were US$2.869 billion, accounting for 20.1% of Uzbekistan’s total exports; China’s exports were approximately US$3.559 billion, accounting for 18.2% of Uzbekistan’s total imports, making it Uzbekistan’s largest export destination and largest source of imports. China’s trade surplus is approximately US$690 million.
In 2018, Uzbekistan’s total foreign trade volume was US$33.815 billion, a year-on-year increase of 27.3%, of which Uzbekistan’s exports were approximately US$14.258 billion, an increase of 13.6%, and imports were US$19.557 billion, an increase of 39.6%, with a trade deficit of US$5.299 billion.
Uzbekistan’s second to fifth largest trading partners are: Russia, approximately US$5.731 billion, a year-on-year increase of 21.2%, accounting for 16.9% of Uzbekistan’s total foreign trade; Kazakhstan, approximately US$3.023 billion, an increase of 47%, accounting for 8.9% ; Turkey is approximately US$2.172 billion, an increase of 39.9%, accounting for 6.4%; South Korea is approximately US$2.137 billion, an increase of 54%, accounting for 6.3%.
