China is Saudi Arabia’s largest textile importer
A spokesman for the Saudi General Administration of Customs said that in 2018, Saudi Arabia imported 186,000 tons of textiles with a total value of 9.38 billion riyals (approximately US$2.5 billion), from China, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Indonesia, The United States, the United Kingdom, Syria, France, and South Korea are the top ten textile import markets for Saudi Arabia. Surveys show that most of the textiles most popular among consumers come from China, Syria, and South Korea. At the same time, the Saudi government will continue to increase its efforts to crack down on counterfeit and imitation brand-name clothing and protect the legitimate rights and interests of local consumers.
