M will import 1.1 billion masks from China and other overseas production facilities
3M (MMM.N) has won a contract from the U.S. Department of Defense to further expand the production of N95 masks in the United States.
3M (MMM.N) will increase U.S. N95 mask production to more than 95 million per month by October.
3M (MMM.N) invested more than $80 million to increase N95 mask production.
3M (MMM.N) expects its mask production capacity to reach 2 billion by the end of the year.
3M (MMM.N) is working with the Trump administration to import 166.5 million masks from the company’s production facilities in China and other overseas.
