The United States releases the 13th batch of exclusion lists for taxed products worth billions
On May 4, 2020 local time in the United States, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced the product exclusion announcement for the 13th batch of US$200 billion in tariffs. 146 excluded products were added, including 1 textile product tax code.
As of now, 12 of the 13 batches of excluded products worth US$200 billion in taxation in the United States involve textiles, involving a total of 49 textile tax codes. The excluded products are Products exported to the United States will no longer be subject to Section 301 tariffs. The exclusion period can be traced back to September 24, 2018, the date when the 200 billion list came into effect. The excluded products listed in this announcement are valid from September 24, 2018 to August 7, 2020.
The description and HS code of the textiles excluded this time are as follows:
5208.39.2020: Dyed sateen Fabric with a cotton content of at least 85%, a width of at least 292 cm but not more than 293 cm, and a weight not exceeding 210 g/m².
