July is the traditional off-season every year, but there is no off-season for air-jet jacquard fabrics, and business has always been booming. The author learned that the market has gradually declined recently and has slowly entered the traditional off-season stage, but companies that produce jet jacquard fabrics are still busy. The person in charge of a jacquard textile company said: “We have no off-season, and business has always been good. We mainly focus on orders, and one order is about hundreds of thousands of meters.” The manager of another jacquard textile company said that their business is good every year , even in the off-season of July and August, it’s pretty good.
The majority of air-jet jacquard products are grosgrain interwoven and imitation memory products. Grosgrain is divided into TR, TC, etc. The conventional specifications are 10S, 13S, and 21S. Imitation memory is mainly 75D, 150D, etc., which are in short supply in the market. Jacquard fabrics have a wide range of uses. Jacquard grosgrain fabrics are mostly used in men’s suits and trousers, women’s dresses, and leggings, while jacquard imitation memory fabrics are used in cotton jackets and down jackets. Clothes made of jacquard fabric are comfortable to wear, soft, smooth and elastic to the touch. The jacquard pattern makes the fabric very high-end and very popular.
Jacquard fabrics rely on their own advantages to create relatively strong demand in the market. Weaving production and sales are booming. The increase in downstream demand has also driven the demand for upstream raw materials. The main raw materials for the two types of products mentioned above are polyester filament, rayon, nylon, spandex, etc. Most of them are based on multi-F 75D and 100D polyester filament. At present, the price of polyester filament in the market is still on an upward trend, rayon and spandex have been in a stable state, and nylon has also seen a “recovery” phenomenon recently. Therefore, jacquard fabrics are also ready to move, and some manufacturers are ready to increase prices in the second half of the year.
Jacquard fabrics are different from other fabrics in terms of production technology. They need to be woven with machines such as leading machines or dobby machines that specialize in jacquard fabrics. The technical requirements are very high, so the fabrics made are more fashionable and high-end. In terms of dyeing, it is no different from ordinary fabrics. Flat cylinders or inclined tubes can also be used for dyeing.
The author also learned that the market situation of water-jet jacquard fabrics or linings is not satisfactory, and there is a big gap between it and air-jet jacquard. The owner of a water-jet jacquard company told the author: “Our jacquard lining business is very poor this year, with only orders of two to three thousand meters. This year’s polyester taffeta business is so good that everyone is making polyester taffeta.” Due to the application of polyester taffeta, The advantages of wide range and low price have replaced other similar products, and the high-end feel and feel of air-jet jacquard cannot be replaced by polyester taffeta, so air-jet jacquard is “uniquely favored” in the market.
This year, water-jet looms encountered environmental problems and a large number of them will be eliminated within three years. Environmental protection will become the theme of the future.
