The Jin.Xiu×Xiao.Xiang silkworm variety is a silkworm variety selected for sericulture research in Hunan Province. Variety characteristics: This variety is a four-way hybrid spotted silkworm variety for summer and autumn use. It has a strong body, easy to raise, It has the characteristics of high cocoon production, excellent cocoon silk quality, and easy reproduction of silkworm species, so it is suitable for promotion in the summer and autumn of the Yangtze River Basin. The silkworm seeds hatch uniformly, and the body color of the ant silkworms is dark brown. Silkworms of each age eat mulberry faster, move more lively, develop neatly, and have a strong constitution. Strong silkworms eat mulberry quickly, in large quantities, and are strong and strong. The flower silkworm is female and the white silkworm is male. The cocoons are uniformly mature, cocooning is fast, there are many middle and upper cocoons, the cocoons are large, the cocoons are oblong in shape, the size is uniform, the cocoons are white in color, the wrinkles are moderate, but there are slightly more double-uterine cocoons.
Key points of breeding: Because ant silkworms have strong phototaxis and escape, it is not advisable to be exposed to light too early on the day of harvesting ants, and it is advisable to collect ants appropriately early; the phototaxis and density of ant silkworms are strong in the young silkworm stage, so it should be done before each mulberry feeding. Work on mulberry smoothing and seat expansion; during the silkworm period, mulberry consumption is intense, so be sure to eat enough good mulberries. At the same time, due to the large amount of excrement, the silkworm seats are prone to moisture. In hot and humid weather, it is easy to induce pus diseases, so ventilation should be strengthened. ; This species of silkworm has a large body and a large amount of moisture when mature. The density of the cocoon should be controlled, the cocoon should be kept well ventilated, and the cocoon chamber should be dry to prevent the occurrence of non-cocooning silkworms; because the flower silkworm is female and the white silkworm is Male and female silkworms can be reared separately, reeled separately, and sold separately, which is beneficial to silk mills using male silkworm cocoons to reel high-grade raw silk.
Sixteen silkworm varieties “Xing’an × Qinyuan” were experimentally demonstrated in Chihe, Zhongchi, Yingfeng and other towns. “Xing’an × Qinyuan” (Chinese line) silkworm variety: It is a new variety bred by the Sericulture Research Institute of Ankang Sericulture Industry Development Center. The characteristics of the variety: silkworm eggs are gray-green, and the hatching rate is 97.96%. Ant silkworms are dark brown and lively. The body color of strong silkworms is bluish white, with normal markings, and they rise neatly from sleep. Mature silkworms build cocoons quickly. The cocoons are oval in shape, white in color, and evenly shaped. The fifth instar takes 6 days, and the full instar takes 24 days.
It is reported that due to the high temperature and drought weather for many consecutive days this year, in order to cope with the special climate and ensure the stability of silkworm cocoon output and income, the first batch of anti-high temperature and anti-pus disease (mid-intestinal) drugs will be promoted and applied throughout the county this autumn. The two silkworm varieties have a boxing capacity of 33,000 silkworms. I believe that with the careful guidance of the sericulture technology department and the careful breeding of silkworm farmers, there will definitely be a good harvest of autumn silkworms.
