“I have planted 450 acres of cotton, and it is growing very well this year. The yield per mu is expected to be about 460 kilograms.” Ran Jinhu said.
The cotton planting area in Halayugong Township reaches 270,000 acres. In recent years, Halayugong Township has made great efforts to improve the pipe network of efficient water-saving facilities and strengthen standardization construction to further improve the scientific and technological content of cotton production and ensure a bumper harvest of cotton.

Nowadays, millions of acres of cotton in Korla City are gradually entering the picking period. In order to ensure the smooth completion of cotton picking, Korla City has established a cotton harvest leading group, which includes epidemic prevention and control, coordination and guarantee of picking personnel, vehicle transportation guarantee, and processing plant management. 4 special classes are responsible for registering all migrant workers and trucks and tractors that can be used for hauling and hauling work in the jurisdiction, coordinating personnel scheduling, filing, deployment, management, etc., and accurately mapping out the labor needs of each area.
It is understood that Korla City has organized more than 100 cotton picking machines to prepare for cotton harvesting, and deployed agricultural technicians to go deep into the fields to provide technical training and guidance for farmers, pay attention to the cotton picking situation in a timely manner, and reduce leakage. If the harvesting is not clean, cotton picking machines are strictly prohibited from operating at night, and cotton harvestingquality should be ensured from the source.
When I came to the Korla Shunxing Fruit Farmers Professional Cooperative in Sailik Village, Heshilik Township, Korla City, the agricultural machinery operator of the cooperative was inspecting and debugging the cotton picking machine. “Our cooperative has 95 members with more than 20,000 acres of cotton fields and 8 cotton picking machines. After picking the cooperative’s cotton, you can also go to surrounding villages and towns to pick it. The cooperative has a good income every year.” Su Yingying, the leader of the cooperative, said.
This year, the cotton planting area in Korla City reaches 1.028 million acres, of which 1 million acres are harvested by machines, and the total output is expected to reach 390,000 tons. While Korla City is doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, the cotton harvest leading group and the agricultural and rural departments are following up and providing full service to effectively help cotton farmers solve practical problems and ensure the smooth progress of cotton harvest.
