Chairman Cao Jiachang of the Textile Chamber of Commerce and his delegation went to Fujian for investigation
In order to gain an in-depth understanding of the production, operation and trade situation of textile and garment enterprises, especially the impact of the slowdown in foreign demand, transfer of orders, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the US “Xinjiang-related Act” and the new crown epidemic on textile and garment foreign trade, strengthen cooperation with Exchanges and contacts between local commercial authorities and member companies. From September 25th to 30th, President Cao Jiachang went to Fuzhou and Quanzhou, Fujian for investigation.
During the investigation in Fuzhou, Chairman Cao held talks with Huang Heming, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, Chen Ansheng, First-Class Inspector, and Zhong Muda, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce. Director Huang introduced the foreign trade situation in Fujian Province in the first eight months of this year and the production and operation of textile and garment foreign trade enterprises. Chairman Cao analyzed the current foreign trade situation based on the situation of Fujian enterprises and introduced to Director Huang how textile and garment foreign trade enterprises should respond to the current situation. The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges on further strengthening cooperation. Accompanied by Director Yu Liwei and Deputy Director Wu Tingfang of the Provincial Department of Foreign Trade, President Cao visited and investigated Fujian Shangfei Garment Co., Ltd., Fujian Jiachen Garment Co., Ltd., Fujian Jiefu Garment Co., Ltd., and Fujian Tiancheng Group Garment Industry. Export Co., Ltd., Apso (Fuzhou) Sporting Goods Co., Ltd., Fujian Caimao Group Co., Ltd., Fuzhou Shunbang International Trade Co., Ltd. During the investigation, Chairman Cao learned in detail about a series of measures currently launched by Fujian Province to improve the quality and efficiency of foreign trade, as well as the current operating conditions, difficulties and problems faced by enterprises, and discussed the industry export situation in the fourth quarter and next year with enterprises and commercial departments. Opinions were exchanged.
During his stay in Quanzhou, Chairman Cao and his party visited relevant leaders of the Quanzhou Commerce Bureau, Jinjiang Commerce Bureau, and Shishi Commerce Bureau, and investigated Quanzhou Sendike Sporting Goods Co., Ltd., Baijia (Fujian) Underwear Co., Ltd. Company, Fujian Jinjiang Kangya Shoes and Clothing Co., Ltd., Quanzhou Yuying Clothing Co., Ltd., Shishi Xinyuanhui Chemical Fiber Textile Technology Co., Ltd., and Jinjiang Qicaihu Clothing Weaving Co., Ltd. During the survey, Chairman Cao discussed with enterprises such hot issues as exchange rate fluctuations, the accelerated transfer of orders to Southeast Asia, the U.S. “Xinjiang-related Act,” the depreciation of the euro, and intensifying geopolitical conflicts that enterprises are concerned about, including the situation of China’s textile and apparel import and export under the impact of the epidemic, and foreign trade enterprises. They conducted in-depth exchanges on the difficulties and challenges encountered in the domestic and international markets, and put forward opinions and suggestions on how to stabilize China’s foreign trade industry chain and supply chain. Luo Haihong from the Foreign Trade Office of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce participated in the entire visit and research activities in Quanzhou.
