Since 2019, Pingnan has introduced two leading textile and apparel companies – Shifang Group with a total investment of 12 billion yuan and Wannan Group with a total investment of 3 billion yuan respectively, and has driven 252 upstream and downstream companies to settle there. In just three years, the textile and clothing industry cluster has begun to take shape.
Pingnan County is targeting investment in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, focusing on introducing leading enterprises in the textile and apparel industry and upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, and focusing on building a new textile and apparel fashion district in China (Guigang). The new area covers an area of 61 square kilometers with a total investment of 34 billion yuan. The Convention and Exhibition Center is a supporting construction project of the Fashion New District, with a total investment of approximately 516 million yuan and a construction area of approximately 92,000 square meters. The Shifang Group Textile and Garment Industrial Park in the Fashion New District covers an area of 2,000 acres. There are currently 44 companies settled there, 14 have started construction, 6 have been completed and put into production, and 3 have been put into trial production.
In the Weilian printing and dyeing workshop, pieces of white fabric are bleached, dyed, and shaped into pieces of various colors, which are then packaged and sent to all parts of the country. The company signed a contract and settled in July 2020, and currently produces 30 tons of finished fabrics per day.

The rich local labor resources ensure the employment needs of enterprises.
