Aksu region has purchased more than two million tons of seed cotton

Entering December, cotton harvesting in various parts of the region has basically ended. On the premise of doing a good job in normalized epidemic prevention and control, cotton companies have gone all out to open purchases to ensure that cotton farmers can sell cotton smoothly.

On December 2, at Aksu Jin’a Cotton Industry Co., Ltd. in Keping County, many cotton farmers came to sell new cotton in trucks loaded with cotton. The staff at the purchasing point strictly followed the relevant requirements, conducting random inspections, testing moisture, weighing, and unloading…

Li Xinghua is a major cotton grower in Bostan Village, Qilang Township. This year, his family’s 150 acres of cotton once again achieved a bumper harvest. Since the cotton harvest began, Li Xinghua has been busy harvesting and selling. He couldn’t help but be happy when he saw the piles of “red notes” in exchange for the carts of cotton.

“This year’s cotton is growing well, with high output, and the purchasing company’s service attitude is good when selling. More importantly, the cotton sales price can be paid as soon as possible.” Li Xinghua said happily.

This year, the cotton planting area in Keping County has reached 130,000 acres. Since the beginning of cotton harvesting, the county’s five cotton processing companies have prepared sufficient purchase funds, are open to purchase around the clock, and immediately cash in the cotton payment.

Wang Chengbiao, head of Aksu Jin’a Cotton Industry Co., Ltd., said that the company strictly follows the “one trial, five determinations” acquisition requirements and does a good job in closed-loop management of cotton acquisitions. At the same time, we must resolutely put an end to the phenomenon of “white slips” and effectively protect the vital interests of cotton farmers.

Cotton is an important source of income for the majority of cotton farmers in the region. This year, the cotton planting area across the region has reached 7.4 million acres. Thanks to scientific field management, cotton yields per unit area and total output have achieved a “double increase.”

As cotton is being harvested in various parts of the region, 152 cotton purchasing companies and processing companies in the region have made early plans and arrangements to raise purchasing funds and open scales to purchase new cotton. For a time, at the purchasing points of various cotton companies, there was an endless stream of cotton farmers coming to sell new cotton.

We learned from the regional agriculture and rural bureau that currently cotton purchasing and processing companies are busy purchasing and producing to ensure that cotton farmers can deliver and sell cotton. It is understood that the total regional cotton output is expected to reach 2.87 million tons (seed cotton) this year. At present, a total of 2.088 million tons of seed cotton have been purchased in various places, with the purchase progress reaching 72.7%. Various cotton enterprises have processed 302,000 tons of lint cotton, with a processing progress of 26.3%, and 189,000 tons of lint cotton have been put into storage, with a warehousing progress of 62.6%.

According to the relevant person in charge of the regional agriculture and rural bureau, the cotton harvest in the region has basically ended, and cotton purchasing companies in various regions are increasing their efforts to purchase new cotton. Various localities have organized staff to go deep into cotton enterprises and purchasing points to urge enterprises to implement various cotton purchasing policies and safeguard the interests of cotton farmers.
