Technological cotton planting “Beidou” helps Xinjiang Tiemenguan cotton sowing proceeds in an orderly manner
In the spring of March, spring is coming. As the temperature continues to rise, cotton in various parts of Xinjiang has ushered in the sowing period. In late March, in the regiment field of the Tarim Reclamation Area of the Second Division of Tiemenguan, Xinjiang, modern agricultural machinery was shuttled across the fields.
It is understood that the 31st Regiment of the Second Division has sown 112,000 acres of cotton this year, and the spring sowing work is expected to be completed around April 10; the 33rd Regiment’s cotton sowing area is about 120,000 acres, and the spring sowing work is expected to be completed in mid-April; the 34th Regiment’s cotton sowing is expected to be completed in mid-April The sowing area is about 130,000 acres, and the spring sowing work is expected to be completed around April 10. The main cotton planting farms in Tarim began laying cotton films around March 15 this year, and sowing began around March 25. The spring sowing is expected to be completed in mid-April.
Cotton cultivation mainly uses the “winter plowing, winter filling and roofing” technology and the “dry sowing and wet out” technology. Under the precise positioning of the Beidou satellite navigation system, the cotton film spreading machine shuttles back and forth in the field to carry out roofing and membrane spreading. The whole process was mechanized, and the mulching film and drip irrigation tape were laid in one go. The fields were a busy scene. While grasping the progress, ensure that the quality of the film laying reaches the technical standards of straight lines, consistent stubble, flat film laying, tight film pressing, square corners, and linear edges. . Drip irrigation under the film provides water. The precision of drip irrigation is high. The soil moisture is suitable for direct sowing. The soil does not need spring irrigation. It not only saves a lot of water resources, but also improves the emergence rate of cotton. Now the emergence rate can reach about 90%, which not only saves water The fee also increased the cotton yield per unit area, laying the foundation for increasing cotton income. It is understood that the local cotton varieties are mostly Xinlu Zao, Xinlu Zhong, Zhongmian, Yan’s varieties, etc.
With the popularization of various types of “smart” agricultural machinery and the application of a series of new agricultural technologies, the cotton yield and quality of cotton planting farms in Tarim have repeatedly reached new highs. In the future, Xinjiang’s cotton industry will continue to move towards higher quality and more efficiency.
