“Chinese Agricultural Encyclopedia·Sericulture Volume” revision and editing meeting was held
Recently, the sixth revision and editing work meeting of the “Sericulture Resource Utilization” subject of “Chinese Agricultural Encyclopedia·Sericulture Volume” was held at the Institute of Sericulture and Agricultural Products Processing of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Liao Sentai, deputy director of the writing committee of “Sericulture Volume” and secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Xiao Gengsheng, editor-in-chief of the sub-discipline “Sericulture Resource Utilization” of “Sericulture Volume”, director/post-scientist of the National Sericulture Industry Technology System Processing Research Office, Processing Institute Director Xu Yujuan, deputy director Zou Yuxiao, director of the writing committee of “Sericulture Volume”, Lu Cheng, a professor at Southwest University, and Zhang Guozheng, a researcher at the Sericulture Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, chief scientist of the National Sericulture Industry Technology System, sericulture textile and biomass science at Southwest University The meeting was attended by more than 30 people including Dai Fangyin, Dean of the College, Meng Lingyang, President of the Planting Publishing Branch of China Agricultural Press, Guo Yongli, Editor-in-Chief, and other sub-discipline editors and deputy editors as well as related staff.
Professor Lu Cheng explained in detail the encyclopedia compilation and publishing workflow, compilation work characteristics, entry writing considerations, branch entry writing progress, etc.; Meng Lingyang and Guo Yongli introduced the existing problems and improvement suggestions in the entry review process. The participating experts put forward suggestions on issues such as the inclusion principles of the volume’s entries, the determination and compilation of entries, and launched a lively discussion.
After the meeting, the relevant responsible persons of each branch discipline will complete the content of the entries within a time limit and submit the summary to facilitate the smooth progress of subsequent revision and editing work.
