On May 31, 2017, U.S. companies DAK Americas LLC, Nan Ya Plastics Corporation, America, and Auriga Polymers Inc. filed an application with the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) on behalf of the U.S. domestic industry, requesting that imports from mainland China, India, Fine Denier Polyester Staple Fiber from South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam initiated anti-dumping and countervailing industry damage investigations.
