Canada implements recall of Chinese children’s pajamas
On October 2, 2019, Health Canada announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas.
The recalled products are 5 models of children’s pajamas. Made of 100% ultra-fine polyester wool, available in sizes 2-6, S-XL. The pajamas are printed with 16 patterns such as stars and elephants. The production codes are printed on the label: L47/1705, LPJ/1806, L47/1710.
This product does not meet the flammability standards for children’s pajamas and may cause burns to children.
The products recalled were sold in Canada from November 2018 to September 2019. The number of products involved in the recall is 116.
So far, no reports of accidents or casualties have been received.
Health Canada advises consumers to stop using this product immediately and return it to the point of purchase for a full refund.
Previously, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) had implemented a recall of this product on September 10 (https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/ 2019/Ragdoll-Rockets-Recalls-Childrens-Loungewear-Due-to-Violation-of-Federal-Flammability-Standard).
