Slovak fabric company NexisFibers lays off approximately 100 employees
Slovak fabric manufacturer Nexis Fibers announced to the Slovak Labor Bureau on April 27 that it will lay off about 400 people collectively. The reason is that the company has not yet reached an agreement on energy supply with the industrial park where it is located, so the company must suspend production and employees must stay at home.
Nexis Fibers employees currently receive 60% of their salary due to employer-related obstacles.
Under the current circumstances, Nexis Fibers decided not to wait any longer and notified the Labor Bureau about collective layoffs.
Nexis Fibers said that the collective layoff announcement can also be withdrawn, but since it has been discussed with the union and agreed, the company is unwilling to wait any longer.
