India makes negative final anti-subsidy ruling on Chinese viscose filament yarn
On August 9, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that it would impose countervailing measures on viscose Rayon Filament Yarnabove 60 deniers originating in or imported from China. A negative final ruling was made and it was recommended that no countervailing duties be levied on the products involved in the case from China. The products involved do not include yarn/threads that can be used on embroidery spools and yarns produced using spool spinning technology.
On July 20, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that in response to an application submitted by the Association of Man-Made Fibre Industry of India (AMFII), the original A countervailing investigation has been initiated against viscose filament yarns of over 60 denier produced or imported from China.
