Vietnam makes a positive preliminary anti-dumping decision on Chinese polyester filament yarn
On September 1, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Resolution No. 2080/QD-BCT, which regulates polyester filament yarn imported from China, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia. A preliminary affirmative anti-dumping ruling was made, and the preliminary ruling was to impose temporary anti-dumping duties on the products involved. The tax rates for the products involved in the case are 3.36-17.45% in China (see the table below for details), 54.90% in India, 21.94% in Indonesia, and 21.23% in Malaysia. The Vietnamese tax numbers of the products involved are 5402.33.00, 5402.46.00, and 5402.47.00. The dumping investigation period in this case is for the whole year of 2019, and the damage investigation period is from 2017 to 2019. The measures will take effect on the 3rd day of the announcement and will be valid for no more than 120 days.
On April 6, 2020, Vietnam launched an anti-dumping investigation into polyester filament yarn imported from China, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
