India exports 10,000 tons of cotton yarn
In July, India exported 115,100 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), a month-on-month decrease of 3.11% and a year-on-year increase of 14.70%. In the fiscal year 2020/21 (August-July), India exported 1.1323 million tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year increase of 22%, and a slight increase of 5% compared with the same period in 2019/20. Bangladesh (28%) and China (26%) are still India’s main cotton yarn exporters, accounting for 54% in total.
