Lin Lin, Secretary-General of China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association, explains hot topics in the industry
In recent years, due to the sluggish market and the continued increase in environmental protection governance, my country’s printing and dyeing industry has successively experienced problems such as declining progress, sluggish market demand, increased environmental pressure, and unreasonable production capacity structure. How to speed up adjustment, transformation and upgrading and achieve new progress has become a top priority for the entire industry.
In this regard, at the China International Dye Industry and Organic Pigments and Fabric Chemicals Exhibition, Lin Lin, secretary-general of the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association, said that product structure adjustment and market structure adjustment will become two key factors for the transformation and upgrading of the printing and dyeing industry. an important aspect.
Lin Lin, Secretary General of China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association
Reporter: The progress of my country’s fabric industry is going through a shifting period. What are the characteristics of the printing and dyeing industry’s operating conditions in 2016?
Lin Lin: 2016 is the first year of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” and a critical year for in-depth adjustment and transformation of China’s economy after entering the “new normal”. Facing the complex internal and external environment, the printing and dyeing industry strives to promote transformation and upgrading, relying on technological innovation, governance improvement and product upgrading to make the economic operation of the entire industry generally stable, and the main operating indicators of enterprises above designated size maintain growth, achieving the goals of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” Good start. The output of the printing and dyeing industry has turned positive from five consecutive years of negative growth.
With the stabilization and recovery of the domestic economy and the vigorous advancement of supply-side structural reform, from January to December 2016, the output of printed and dyed fabrics by printing and dyeing enterprises above designated size was 53.370 billion meters, a year-on-year increase of 4.74%, and the growth rate was relatively high. The same period in 2015 increased by 9.81 percentage points.
Reporter: In recent years, the international market has been complex and ever-changing. Has the export of my country’s printing and dyeing enterprises been affected?
Lin Lin: Since 2011, the market share of printed and dyed fabric exports to the United States has been basically stable; the market share of Hong Kong, China has shown a clear downward trend year by year; the Japanese market share has not changed much, but has shown a downward trend year by year; The EU market share has increased slightly year by year since 2012. Since 2012, the market share of eight categories of printing and dyeing products exported to ASEAN and India has increased year by year, while the market share exported to Russia has decreased year by year.
The government’s support for the printing and dyeing industry needs to be further increased. From the current point of view, the implementation effect of national financial policies in the printing and dyeing industry is not obvious. Some printing and dyeing companies are facing complex domestic and foreign environments and rising costs, high taxes, financing difficulties and other difficulties and pressures. In recent years, under the pressure of environmental protection policies, the industry has achieved remarkable results in energy conservation and emission reduction and transformation and upgrading. However, under the situation of tightening international and domestic economic environment and great operating pressure on enterprises, the government has not only stepped up efforts to eliminate backward production capacity, In addition to strengthening energy conservation and environmental protection management, we should also increase support for printing and dyeing enterprises, such as tax and loan preferential policies, and solve development problems during development.
Reporter: With the new round of industrial revolution and changes in industrial competition models, under this background, what problems and pressures may the printing and dyeing industry face in its future progress?
Lin Lin: The printing and dyeing industry is technology-intensive, complex in governance, and has high environmental requirements. In terms of technology, my country’s printing and dyeing industry is already at the international advanced level in many aspects. However, in terms of governance, my country’s printing and dyeing industry is at the international advanced level. The printing and dyeing industry is in the transition stage from extensive to refined management.
At present, some companies have automated or semi-automated control of some production links, and a few companies have achieved full-process data collection and control. A larger-scale comprehensive application system, production execution management system (MES), has not yet been formed. ) and production automation systems (SFC) fail to play their due role in many companies. There is still a long way to go for the industry to realize the leap from manual mechanization and integrated single-machine automation to full-process digitalization and system automation.
In addition, about 75% of the products in the printing and dyeing industry are produced through consignment finishing. The key to the progress of finishing companies lies in their significant cost advantages. When the cost advantage is gone, homogeneous competition continues to intensify. Corporate profits will decline, and production and operations will face difficulties. Product structure adjustment and market structure adjustment are two important aspects of the transformation and upgrading of the printing and dyeing industry.
Reporter: The printing and dyeing industry must change its traditional development model and rely more on innovation-driven development. So what is the direction and focus of development?
Lin Lin: Improving the overall intelligence level of the industry is an important aspect of the transformation and upgrading of the printing and dyeing industry. With the rapid progress of a number of new printing and dyeing technologies represented by automation, intelligent technology and digital printing, and the effective implementation of refined management in some enterprises, more and more enterprises will adopt online collection of process parameters and automatic control systems, chemical Automatic product weighing and automatic conveying systems as well as digital and intelligent equipment will further strengthen the integration of information management and process technology, corporate operation management and Internet technology. Some advantageous enterprises will realize the combination of production execution management system (MES), planning management system (ERP) and field automation system (SFC) through the establishment of intelligent management systems, transforming from the intelligence of a single equipment to the intelligence of the entire factory.
Product innovation and development cultivate new growth points. Accelerate the adjustment of product structure, promote supply-side reform, and implement the “three-product” strategy of increasing variety, improving quality, and creating brands; focus on developing high-end, high-grade, and high-value-added products to create new economic growth points for the industry; and carry out full-process digitalization Build green production lines, promote automatic distribution systems for dye auxiliaries, and improve product quality and quality.
Focus on extending from finishing and production to front-end design and research and development, and back-end market terminal operations to guide and create market demand; market-oriented, strengthen the development of high-quality, multi-functional, and intelligent products to make fabric products Fabrics are developing in the direction of comfort, fashion, environmental protection, diversification, multi-function and intelligence to better meet the multi-level needs of consumers; accelerate the formulation of green product evaluation standards, promote green product evaluation, and lead green consumption.
Reporter: What is the development trend of the printing and dyeing industry in the second half of 2017?
Lin Lin: The economy will continue to grow moderately in 2017, but there are certain variables under Trump’s new deal, and the uncertainty of economic trends will increase. The European economy will be affected by Brexit, refugee issues and geopolitics. To rule out the possibility of a rebound being blocked, the appreciation of the yen inhibited exports.
Japan’s economic growth rate is still insufficient to pick up momentum, and emerging markets and developing countries still face many difficulties in economic growth. The risk of capital outflows still exists; structural reforms need to be further deepened; this will further affect the pace of economic recovery in resource export-dependent countries such as Brazil, Russia and South Africa.
It is estimated that my country’s exports of printing and dyeing products to the EU and the United States are expected to maintain growth in 2017, while exports to Japan and Russia will continue to decline, but the market share in the United States, Japan and the EU will remain basically stable.
It is worth noting that during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the printing and dyeing industry achieved remarkable results in energy conservation and emission reduction, while the task of achieving energy conservation and environmental protection goals during the “13th Five-Year Plan” remains arduous. The industry will focus on promoting the in-depth development and application of energy-saving, emission reduction and clean production technologies; strengthening the development of alternative technologies for toxic and harmful chemicals, and establishing a fabric chemical risk management and control system. Accelerate the elimination of backward production processes and equipment, and improve the overall equipment and process level of the industry. In accordance with the unified deployment and arrangements of the state, the pollution discharge permit system will be fully implemented in the printing and dyeing industry in 2017, and the issuance of pollution discharge permits will be completed before the end of the year.
