Answer: The silk penetrating agent is required to be able to withstand alkali 260~280g/L NaOH. It must have good solubility and good penetrating power under strong alkali. In the early days, some people used phenol, xylenol, cresol and phenolic derivatives, such as octylphenol, isopropylphenol, etc., and added other solvents and co-solvents, such as cyclohexanol, butanol and triethanolamine. However, this type of silk-finished penetrant is highly corrosive, the spent alkali is colored and difficult to recycle, and the waste water contains phenol, which is toxic and has been discontinued. Another type of silk penetrating agent is low alkyl sulfonate (such as product 601) and sulfate (commodity K12), etc. added with ethylene glycol monobutyl ether and diethylene glycol butyl ether. Solvent, this type of penetrating agent can greatly reduce the surface tension of the alkali solution. When the penetrating agent concentration is 0.5%, the penetrating effect of 280g/L NaOH reaches about 1Os. Recently, it was discovered that isooctyl polyoxyethylene ether sulfate salt [C8H17(CH2CH2O)1.5·SO4NH4] and isooctyl sulfate (C8H17SO4NH4 or C8H17SO4 sub>Na) has good permeability when used as a penetrating agent. When the penetrating agent concentration is 0.5%, the penetrating effect of 280g/L NaOH is less than or equal to 5s, and it has good biodegradability.
