37. What are the main indicators of fabric performance?
Answer: Fabric performance refers to the appearance and change of a certain aspect of fabric characteristics due to the combined effects of internal and external factors under certain conditions. The fabric should have good performance during the finishing process and after wearing and cleaning, as well as good finishing properties during sewing.
The various main properties of fabrics are shown in Table 2-1.
Table 2-1 Various main properties of fabrics
Strength Performance | Tensile strength, tear strength, cracking strength, wear resistance |
Shape stability performance | Elasticity and plasticity, shrinkage deformation |
Physical and chemical properties | Thermal conductivity and heat resistance, finishing resistance, chemical resistance |
Appearance and performance | Anti-wrinkle, rigid and soft, drape, pilling, color, finish, color Fastness, etc. |
Health and Hygiene Performance | Breathability, thermal insulation, hygroscopicity, water absorption, air permeability, water resistance , electrification, moth-proof, mildew-proof, etc. |
Sensory performance | Subjective style, objective style |
Durability | Fatigue resistance |
