The pre-shrunk finishing of the fabric can cause the fabric to shrink in the warp direction in advance, thereby reducing the shrinkage rate of the finished fabric to meet the quality requirements of clothing processing.
The international market has requirements for the shrinkage rate of high-end products in both the warp and weft directions, but commonly used preshrinking machines have no shrinkage effect on the weft direction of fabrics. In order to ensure that the weft shrinkage index of high-end products meets the requirements, the weft pre-shrinking must be completed before the fabric enters the pre-shrinking machine. Generally, it should be carried out in the singeing and sizing processes to appropriately increase the elongation of the fabric in the warp direction and obtain the fabric width. The effect of shrinkage is to ensure that the pre-shrunk products meet the double shrinkage requirements.
