Anti-fouling finishing, that is, SR finishing. Synthetic fibers (such as polyester) are highly hydrophobic, and although natural fibers (such as cotton) are hydrophilic fibers, after resin finishing, their hydrophilic groups are blocked and their hydrophilicity decreases. For these reasons, synthetic fiber fabrics and mixed fabrics of natural fibers and synthetic fibers are easy to stain, and difficult to remove after staining. At the same time, they are easy to be re-contaminated during repeated washing (the phenomenon in which the washed dirt is re-precipitated onto the fabric. ). Anti-fouling finishing includes preventing oil stains (not easy to be stained with oil), being easy to wash off after staining (easy to remove stains), preventing re-staining and static electricity during washing, and not being easy to absorb dust (anti-static). In order for the fabric to achieve the purpose of anti-fouling, it must be completed through three methods, namely anti-oil finishing, easy stain removal finishing and anti-static finishing. Here we mainly introduce easy stain removal and finishing.
In order to make fabrics oil-repellent and anti-fouling, there are three methods. (1) Sizing method: Form a protective layer of slurry on the surface of the fabric. This protective layer is fully or partially loosened during washing, which promotes the removal of adsorbed dirt and achieves the purpose of easy cleaning. This antifouling effect is not durable, so it is a temporary antifouling agent. (2) Thin film method: Use polymer compounds to form a washable, hydrophilic film on the surface of the fiber to promote the wettability of the fiber during washing and help remove attached dirt. This method is gaining more and more attention in practice. (3) Fiber chemical modification method: Chemically modify cotton and synthetic fibers to improve antifouling properties. For example, cotton is grafted to introduce anionic branched compounds or nonionic hydrophobic substances. On the surface of nylon and polyester, Surface-coating with nonionic hydrophilic polyoxyethylene groups can significantly improve antifouling properties. Generally speaking, antifouling finishing is not particularly difficult. You only need to add suitable additives during numerical finishing to achieve the goal. This kind of additive with antifouling properties becomes an antifouling finishing agent.
