What is jacquard fabric (fabric)? What is the use of jacquard fabric? What is satin jacquard fabric (fabric)? The uses of satin fabric, the English name of jacquard fabric
The manufacturing process of jacquard fabric (cloth) is complex. The warp and weft yarns intertwine and rise and fall with each other to form different patterns, with concave and convex patterns, and many beautiful patterns such as flowers, birds, fish, insects, birds and animals are woven.
Jacquard fabric (cloth) has a unique soft, delicate and smooth texture, good gloss, good drape and breathability, and high color fastness (yarn dyeing). The pattern of jacquard fabric (fabric) is large and exquisite, with distinct colors and strong three-dimensional effect, while the pattern of dobby fabric (fabric) is relatively simple and single. Jacquard is divided into two-color jacquard fabric (fabric) and single-color jacquard fabric (fabric).
Jacquard fabric (fabric): When the fabric is weaved, the warp and weft structures are changed to form a pattern. The yarn count is fine, and the raw material cotton is extremely demanding. There are differences in the weaving and dyeing processes of single-color jacquard and multi-color jacquard. Single-color jacquard is a jacquard-dyed fabric – the jacquard gray fabric is first woven on a jacquard loom and then dyed and finished. The finished fabric is a solid color; multi-color jacquard is a colored fabric. Woven jacquard fabric (fabric) – first dye the yarn and then weave it on a jacquard loom, and then finish it, so the yarn-dyed jacquard fabric has more than two colors, the fabric is rich in color, not monotonous, and the pattern The three-dimensional effect is stronger and the grade is higher. The width of the fabric is 2.5 meters. The pure cotton fabric will shrink slightly, will not pill, and will not fade.
Satin jacquard fabric (fabric): The warp and weft yarns are interlaced at least every three yarns. Therefore, the satin weave makes the fabric denser and thicker. Satin weave products are more expensive than similar plain and twill weave products. Fabrics woven with satin weave are collectively called satin weave fabrics. Satin fabric has front and back sides. There are few interweaving points in a complete weave cycle and long floating threads. The surface of the fabric is almost entirely composed of floating threads in the warp or weft direction. The texture of satin fabric is soft. The cloth surface is smooth, delicate and shiny. The common satin fabric is striped satin, referred to as satin strip. It is divided into two kinds of fabrics: 40-count satin strips with a width of 2.4 meters and 60-count satin strips with a width of 2.8 meters. Weaving first and then dyeing, this kind of fabric is generally solid color. Extends the horizontal bar. Pure cotton fabrics will shrink slightly, will not pill, and will not fade easily.
Satin jacquard fabric (fabric)
Knowledge of “satin jacquard fabric”.
First of all, please understand these three concepts: plain weave, twill weave, and satin.
Plain weave: Fabrics woven with plain weave are called plain weave fabrics. That is, the warp and weft yarns are interlaced every other yarn (that is, the yarns are 1 on top and 1 on the bottom). This kind of cloth is characterized by many interweaving points, firm texture, stiff texture, and smooth surface. High-end embroidered fabrics are generally plain weave fabrics.
Twill fabric: The warp and weft yarns are interlaced at least once every two yarns, that is, 2 up and 1 down or 3 up and 1 down. By adding warp and weft interweaving points to change the fabric structure, it is collectively called twill fabric. The characteristics of this kind of cloth are that it is relatively thick and has a strong three-dimensional texture. The number of branches ranges from 30, 40, and 60.
Satin fabric: The warp and weft yarns are interlaced at least every three yarns. Therefore, the satin weave makes the fabric denser and thicker. Satin weave products are more expensive than similar plain and twill weave products. The cloth surface is smooth, delicate and shiny. Plain weave, twill weave, and satin are the three basic ways of interweaving warp and weft threads. There is no specific distinction between good and bad, each has its own characteristics. Among them, satin is definitely the best among pure cotton fabrics.
Let’s talk about tribute satin in detail.
There are four concepts to distinguish between satin: satin, satin strip, satin grid, and satin jacquard.
What kind of fabric is satin? In fact, through the introduction just now, you have already understood that “plain weave, twill, and satin” are all satin fabrics, not specific fabrics.
The common satin fabric is striped satin, referred to as satin strip. The texture is extended by horizontal strips (see picture). Using the process of weaving first and then dyeing, this kind of fabric is generally solid color. It doesn’t pill and won’t fade easily.
There is also a kind of satin called satin grid, which is also solid color and grid-like (see picture).
Satin strips and satin grids are generally used as raw materials for hotel bedding, which are cheap, luxurious and practical.
Satin strips and satin plaids are also used to make home kits, but they are far less popular than satin jacquard fabrics.
Jacquard fabric: The pattern on the fabric is woven, not ordinary printing or embroidery. When the fabric is weaved, the warp and weft structures are changed to form a pattern. The yarn count is fine and the needle thread density is high. It does not deform or fade during use and has good comfort. Jacquard is very popular in the market at present, and satin bedding looks high-grade and tasteful. To distinguish the quality of satin, you need to compare the yarn count and density.
Gongsatin also talks about yarn count. Let’s talk about the count first, which is what we often see: 30, 40, 60, etc.! For example, some friends call 30 pieces 30S, which is the same, there is no difference! So what exactly is count? This is how I understand it:
Count is the standard for the thickness of yarn. For example, one tael of cotton can be made into 30 strands of 1-meter-long yarn, which is 30 strands; and one tael of cotton can be made into 40 strands of 1-meter-long yarn, which is 40 strands; 1 tael of cotton can be made into 60 strands. 1 meter long yarn, that is 60 counts. In fact, the higher the yarn count, the finer the yarn, and the thinner the fabric made with such yarn., the cloth is relatively softer and more comfortable. However, cloth with a high count requires high quality raw materials (cotton), and also requires higher requirements on yarn mills and textile weaving factories, so the cost of the cloth is relatively high. Cloth with a high thread count is not suitable for bedding because it is too thin!
Let’s talk about the density of cloth. This is data that people don’t pay much attention to, but the important thing is that in the industry, satin fabrics basically don’t talk about the count. They only talk about **multiply** (such as 110*90, 128*68, 65*78, 133* 72), because there are very few choices in count, generally 30S and 40S, and 60S is rarely used. Within a unit area, the higher the number of warp and weft threads (roots), the better the quality of the fabric. Usually, the number of warp and weft threads is more than 30, and the fabric density (warp density + weft density) is more than 180 threads/square inch. It is a high count and high density fabric. For example, 40-count satin 133X95 belongs to high count and low density, and 40-count 173X124 belongs to high count and high density. Through the above introduction, do you have a certain understanding of satin and satin jacquard? tGX9I0t
