Bangladesh enters Indian readymade garments market
According to a report by Bangladesh’s “Independent” on December 26, due to the implementation of the new goods and services tax law in India from July 1, the cost advantage of Bangladesh’s garment manufacturing industry has become prominent, and it has made a large-scale entry into the Indian garment market. From July to November, Bangladesh’s exports of ready-made garments to India reached US$87.4 million, a year-on-year increase of 56%.
