Pakistan cotton yarn prices are strong and demand at home and abroad is active
As of the end of January, domestic cotton yarn prices in Pakistan were still very strong, with quotations slightly raised, and domestic and foreign demand remained active.
It is understood that demand from domestic textile mills in Pakistan is currently recovering, home textile and clothing manufacturers are rushing out export orders, and domestic yarn transactions are very active. The prices of blended yarn and polyester-viscose yarn have risen sharply in the past two weeks.
The export price of cotton yarn remains stable. Due to the decline in the rupee exchange rate, yarn mills are preparing to clear their inventories at the current price. Sirotex has sold a large amount of goods to China in the past two weeks. After a sharp decline in December, Pakistani yarn shipments to many export markets are expected to increase in January.
In the past month, cotton prices in Pakistan have been very stable. Spinners mainly import foreign cotton and have very limited purchases of domestic cotton.
The price of polyester staple fiber continues to rise driven by higher import prices. The price of imported polyester staple fiber from China increased by 2 cents/kg. 1.4D polyester staple fiber rose 1.58% to 193 rupees/kg in the past week.
