Bangladesh’s garment exports to non-traditional markets have grown significantly
According to a report by the “Daily Star” on February 3, due to the government stimulus plan and duty-free market access, Bangladesh’s ready-made garment exports to non-traditional markets in the first six months of this fiscal year (July-December 2018) reached 2.9 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 36.21%. The United States, the European Union, and Canada are Bangladesh’s traditional garment export markets, and Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, and Turkey are Bangladesh’s main non-traditional emerging markets.
