Nylon has been a bit crazy recently. Although the audience is not as wide as polyester filament, the price increase is closely following the big brother polyester. It is not a problem to increase for one or two days. If it increases every day, it will be huge. Who is it? What about its willful courage?
First of all, of course, it comes from the support of upstream raw materials. Since mid-May, in just over two months, the price of caprolactam has risen from 11,000 yuan/ton to 13,800 yuan/ton, an increase of 25.5%! The price of nylon high-speed spinning chips also increased from 12,900 yuan/ton to 15,150 yuan/ton, an increase of 17.4%!
Upstream support alone can indeed assist the rise of nylon, but is such a sustained period also due to the downstream terminal fabric market? How is the market of fabrics made of nylon as raw material recently? With questions, the author visited several companies.
A trading company that produces men’s and women’s clothing fabrics said that in recent months many of their customers have purchased various types of anti-down fabrics from them and started the down jacket sampling process. The two most purchased items are 330T pongee anti-down fabrics and 400T Nylon velvet-proof fabric.
Another company specializing in the production of nylon-polyester composite silk fabrics said that the price of raw materials has fluctuated frequently recently, and they basically buy a little and don’t stock up. Most of the company’s products are used to make down jackets and other cold-proof clothing. Business has been relatively stable recently, but new customers are still required to pay in cash.
Speaking of fabrics made of nylon, the author can’t help but think of the four-way stretch fabric that was once so popular that it had no friends. Since the second half of 2015, stretch fabrics have become a hot product in the market, and four-way stretch fabrics have been snapped up by many businesses. Especially in the second half of last year, the traditional weaving off-season in August, elastic fabric weaving manufacturers were too busy to ship goods. The market was so hot that it was staggering. Looking back at the most popular scene at that time, some customers even squatted in the weaving factory and took them away as soon as the goods were shipped. It almost took about 20-30 days to place an order! Among them, nylon four-way elastic, which is made of nylon as raw material, naturally became an important part of fueling the market at that time. When there were too many people, the price could go up. After a year, August is about to enter this year. Will the once popular four-sided bombs make a comeback? Perhaps many manufacturers are also supporting the price of nylon filament with such good expectations.
In general, with the joint efforts of upstream and downstream, the price of nylon has started a “red” mode. The current demand for FDY in the downstream market is better than expected. Therefore, it can be predicted that the future trend of nylon market may be strong and upward. host.
